I’ve discovered that there is so much more to be done when it comes to photography. Anyone can point and shoot a picture and for years, I’ve done just that. While I have always been selective of what and especially how I take a photo, I have suddenly become intrigued about creating art and not just taking photos. But when you are creating art, isn’t it just as much fun to see the difference between the before and the after?
As I began on this journey of intentionally creating art with my photography, I did what I think many do; I started simple. Well, maybe not completely simple; but simple enough.
When I showed the after shot to my husband, his reaction was interesting. He said that he hadn’t noticed the expression of her face so much in the before shot. This made me feel a bit giddy, as though I had maybe finally accomplished something artistic.
Even my eldest grand daughter, who does her own anime graphic art, told me that she really liked this and wants me to show her how to do it when the family comes down for Thanksgiving. Now, that makes my heart smile.
As I continue to intentionally focus on photography and creating art, I invite you to follow along. It won’t always be creative artistic photography as you see here; sometimes it will be just raw photography, while other times I may feel the need to share whispers from my heart.
Thanks for visiting.
