Last week it was all about watching the weather as we braced for Tropical Storm Cindy. We were fortunate that she didn’t hit us very hard, though we were left with some major clean up from the branches that broke from the pecan tree and carpeted our front lawn. Naturally there was the calm before the storm, when the sky was filled with color and there were some awesome cloud formations to be found if one went looking for them.
First come storms…and then come flowers! All that rain did our flowers some good!
As we are now in the months of summer, the temperatures are beginning to rise. While we will be in Hurricane season until November, it is time for flip-flops and keeping cool. I’m loving how the dragonflies are beginning to flutter about and naturally, the beautiful flowers that are constantly in bloom.
This season of storms and flowers is a sweet reminder that even after a storm, life renews; sometimes even better than before. Just like the storms we encounter in life. Those little ups and downs of life that often get the better of us all from time to time. If we can keep our eyes focused on the future and not the storm, we find that there is always beauty that arises out of the storm.
So, until another storm comes through, we are continuing to hug life and nature.
Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!
