I’m sure by now, everyone who is a faithful follower has been scratching their heads wondering where I disappeared to. Well, ponder no more, because I’m going to fill you in.
A couple of weeks ago my daughter and the girls came down for a week long visit! We had a blast and it was absolutely awesome to spend time with all my girls. There has also been the kitten “Tily” (we finally gave her a name) who joined our family unit at the beginning of June, who has required a lot of time to reform her from feral to tame. It is a process.
Since their departure, I’ve just not really been feeling the desire to “blog”. I’m not depressed or anything like that; but rather I am turning my focus to my passion! P H O T O G R A P H Y! Yes, that indeed is my passion.
With that being said….have you heard of Viewbug? It is an awesome site for photographers to share their work, enter photo contests, win prizes, and communicate with other photographers from all across the globe. I will share a link to my viewbug profile at the end of the post.
For years now, I have received encouraging and positive feedback from blog friends and other random people. Compliments such as “if your goal is to make the viewer see how you view the world, consider yourself a success”. “Have you considered making a coffee table book with your photos?” And here recently, I have heard from a reliable source “She captures images in a very unique manner.”
Truth be told, photography is beyond a doubt a huge passion of mine. I absolutely love it. I get lost to the noise of the world when I am behind the camera. I find the photo editing process just as fascinating as actually taking the photo. It is in the editing process where my own creative flair comes alive. (I use both Lightroom and Photoshop for sharpening, tweeking, adding filters and my watermark) Sometimes I get a WOW moment when I find I captured an image in an awesome way; or when I discover there was something hidden in the path of the viewfinder that I otherwise hadn’t noticed.
So what does all of this mean for MaisBliss? I’m still in the pondering stage of this particular question. It is possible I will shut it down or maybe leave it as an alternative to Viewbug. There is also the possibility that I will generate a new website using the professional name of Leah Rice. All of this is still up in the air. I’ve got a little time to make a decision, so I’m looking at all of the pro’s and con’s of it all.
I will likely still post here on MaisBliss randomly while I sort it all out.
In the meantime, you can still enjoy my photography on Viewbug – HERE.
Thanks for visiting.
