When first we saw little-mama’s kittens, we had given them names. There were two black and white kittens at the time; based on their distinct markings, one we named mustacho and the other, phantom. As we watched her kittens disappear one by one, the phantom in the yard is the only remaining kitten outdoors.
We can’t get near enough to it to find out whether it is a boy or girl. It’s definitely a scraggly little thing. Same scruffy fur as the little calico that we did manage to bring indoors.
Mama kitty has moved from the gully and is now hanging out on our deck and in the backyard with the phantom.
I’m guessing after all of the rain and the gully flooding that she decided it was time to look for a safe place. Apparently our yard is viewed as a safe place for mama kitty and the phantom in the yard.
Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!
